Got a Henry Goldenboy for X-mas. It is a .22 caliber lever action rifle. It has a full octagon barrel (20")and shiny brass on the receiver and buttplate. The stock is the old style and nice walnut. It shoots very well too. Overall I think it to be quite worth the money.

The buffalo it seems is from 5 miles west of here. He escaped about a week ago and the guy that takes care of it was over here the last couple of days trying to round it up. Didn't have a lot of luck doing that though. He told me that if he can't round it up he may have to shoot it. All I know is it ran past the house at a full gallop late yesterday evening. He weighs about 2000 lbs. and stands around 7 feet tall.

Jan looked out the breakfast nook window today and saw a buffalo! I didn't believe it until I looked for myself. He had a green tag in his ear so must be from around here. I called Elmer Wagner who farms across the road and told him about it. Jan asked around and someone in Lewis has some.

We got over 4 inches of snow today. Jan and I went for a ride on my ATV and had lots of fun.
