Got my new Marlin 917 M2 rifle this week. It is a 7 shot clip rifle in the new .17 Mach 2 cartridge. It has a really nice wood stock with very clean checkering and sling studs. The rifle also has a bull barrel for added accuracy. It comes with scope bases so I mounted my Weaver 2.5-7 power scope on it for a test shoot. This is the sweetest shooting rimfire rifle I have ever shot. I shot 15 shots that would fit inside a quarter at 50 yards off my bench rest. There were no flyers and the group was almost round. The trigger on this rifle is exceptional. Marlin introduced the T-900 trigger assembly last year in all their rimfire rifles. I really like the safety too as it feels like a ball bearing assembly it's so smooth. All in all this is the sweetest rimfire rifle on the market for the price. It shoots better than my M77/.17 Ruger that retails for over $400. The Marlin meanwhile goes for around $200. I will have pics of this rifle up soon.

Jan wants me to post this pic of some Hollyhocks she grew last summer. Posted by Hello

Found this pic from last summer on my cam today. I just had to show it. Those are anchos, anaheims, habaneros, sweet sun bells, zuchinni, grape and roma tomatoes. Posted by Hello

Here it is from the outside. Notice the weight equipment in front of it.  Posted by Hello

Ok here is the new greenhouse. It is 20'x10' and has 4 year 6 mil white greenhouse film on it. This film allows 55% of the light in. The big door is to allow it to function as a storage shed during the winter and to allow me to put my riding mover in.  Posted by Hello

Took a 3 AM hottie ride tonight with Jan on back. The moon was half full and high in the night sky. The weather was very nice and quite balmy. It was very invigorating and refreshing. Posted by Hello

Got my new computer last week. It's a Dell 3000 with a 2.8 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4. It has 512 mb of memory and two drives, a 48X CD-ROM drive and a 48X CD-RW and DVD ROM combo. It has a 80 gb hard drive and it came with a free 17" monitor. Not bad for $474 plus tax. They even threw in free shipping. Also ordered a LaCie 16X DVD-RW and CD-RW combo external drive. It is USB 2 compliant and was $129 with no tax and free shipping direct from LaCie. It came in only 5 days after I ordered it too. This is a really nice unit and I highly recommend it for anyone planning to do some DVD recording. Posted by Hello

Joined the Kinsley Gun Club (KGC) on Wednesday. This club has been in existence since 1901. It has 5 trap houses and a nice clubhouse. Shot 4 rounds of trap too. I have never shot trap before but did do a little skeet shooting at college. Averaged about 19/25 which for a beginner isn't too bad I guess. Anyways I will be posting pics from the club events this spring. Posted by Hello
